Since 1997, Dr. Renae has been working in higher education specializing in intercollegiate athletics. She has worked at colleges ranging from junior college to Power 5 institutions, public and private institutions, rural and urban campuses, large and small student populations. The diversity in her work experience and clients, makes her a unique talent in the consulting space.

In addition to her work as a consultant, she was President of the Minority Opportunities

Athletic Association (MOAA), the premier professional organization for athletic administrators from diverse backgrounds.

(www.weareabis.org).  She has been awarded for her work as an athletic administrator by the Not Alone Foundation (2024), the Black Student-Athlete Summit (2023), and Women Leaders in Sports  (2019). She is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and enjoys assisting undergraduate chapters at the institutions she has worked.

She is originally from Clarksdale, Mississippi and is a pk (pastor’s kid). She is married to Marcus Payne, President & Founder of 3 Points Auto Sales, Inc. and is bonus Mom to Briana and Ariana.
